Here at Keyes Toyota, we always love to see a new concept
vehicle in action. It shows us where the Toyota brand might be heading and what
kind of new Toyota cars could eventually make their way to our dealership here
in Van Nuys. Now we've heard that new models in the Concept-i series will show
up at the Tokyo Motor Show, and we're interested in seeing the future of
mobility and electric vehicle tech.
The electric vehicle concepts will use artificial
intelligence and the latest battery technology. The original Concept-i, which
seats four people, was first unveiled at this year's SEMA show. These other new
concepts take a slightly different approach to the future of mobility.
The Concept-i
Ride is a small car aimed at urban commuters. You're not going to find a
large amount of legroom or cargo space, but it is designed with handicapped
driver access in mind. A driver would use joystick controls, rather than a
traditional steering wheel, to guide this vehicle, while artificial
intelligence technology works to make the drive more pleasant. It can even
monitor a driver's feelings and automate driving. A car like this could have a
range of up to 93 miles on a single charge.
Another new Toyota
concept is the Concept-i Walk. This is more of a scooter, with three wheels and
a host of active safety systems that can better protect the driver. It's
maneuverable and efficient. Both of these unique concepts present a view of
what the reality of travel could look like in the near future, and we can't
wait to see what kind of features they inspire in production Toyota models!
So when you're looking for car brand that innovates, think
of Toyota cars. Visit our Toyota
dealership near Los Angeles today and we'll help you find the perfect new
or pre-owned vehicle. We hope to see you soon for a test drive!
