The 2018 Toyota RAV4 isn’t just one of
the most popular crossovers among the Los Angeles customers served by Keyes
Toyota. It’s one of the most popular nationwide. With its generous interior
space, great suite of standard safety features, and the reliability that comes
with every new Toyota vehicle, we’re not exactly surprised.
New Toyota RAV4 Features
Some of the changes
we’re seeing this year are small ones. The heated steering wheel and the
power-operated seats that come to the lower trim levels are new, and there’s
also a new exterior color.
One change that we
weren’t expecting was the addition of a new Toyota RAV4 Adventure trim. The
ground clearance is a bit higher than on the other trims, there’s black
surrounds on the fog lights and headlights, a bit more protection against
underbody damage, a tow package, all-weather floor mats, a 120V power outlet in
the cargo area, and a shift knob trimmed in leather.
The strengths we’ve
come to know and love are all still in evidence. The hybrid model returns, with
its 1,750 pounds of towing capacity and standard AWD. There’s cargo and
passenger space that surpasses many in the segment. And, finally, there’s the
size and style. It’s more traditional (and slightly larger) than the 2018
Toyota C-HR, while it’s also a bit smaller and more agile than the larger 2018
Toyota Highlander.
