2021 Toyota RAV4 vs. 2020 Toyota RAV4

Anyone who knows anything about Toyota understands just how important the Toyota RAV4 is to this vehicle lineup, and here at Keyes Toyota, we are thrilled to have the 2021 Toyota RAV4 in stock and available for purchase. However, we know that many customers in and around Los Angeles, CA want to know what makes the latest iteration of this respected crossover an improvement over the 2020 model year version, so we’ve taken the time to spell it out. The following is a look at how the 2021 Toyota RAV4 compares to last year’s iteration.

Comparing the 2020 and 2021 Toyota RAV4

In comparing apples to apples, the 2020 and 2021 Toyota RAV4 models are mostly the same with a few minor exceptions, including a new Blizzard Pearl exterior paint color and a new XLE trim level for the hybrid model.

That said, the most exciting change for the 2021 model year is the introduction of the plug-in hybrid 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime, which offers some exciting new changes when compared to the outgoing iteration of Toyota midsize crossover.

A few of the most enticing advantages of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime when compared to the 2020 Toyota RAV4 include:

• More horsepower (302 compared to 203)

• More torque (288 compared to 184)

• Better fuel economy (an EPA-estimated 40 MPG city/36 MPG highway compared to 27/35)
