Toyota Brand Establishes Additional Olympic and Paralympic Partnerships

Whether you have your eye on the 2019 Toyota Prius, the 2019 Toyota Corolla, or another Toyota automobile, mobility is probably on your mind. As you’d expect it to be for any car maker, mobility is a big focus for the Toyota brand and the automaker wants the world to know.

With that in mind, the automaker added six new partnerships with National Governing Bodies to its existing network of Olympic and Paralympic partnerships. More specifically, the manufacturer added relationships with the following sports to the Toyota family of NGB partnerships, making a total of 16 Olympic and Paralympic summer and winter partnerships:

•        National Wheelchair Basketball Association
•          USA Skateboarding
•          USA Surfing
•          USA Swimming
•          USA Track & Field
•          USA Triathlon

“As we look toward the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, [the] Toyota [brand’s] partnership with these six summer NGBs allows us to reinforce our mobility message to new audiences,” said Ed Laukes, group vice president, Toyota Marketing, Toyota Motor North America. 

“By working with traditional Olympic and Paralympic sports, as well as new and exciting additions to the Olympic Games, we can expand our reach in key markets and tap into the passionate fanbase that can be found within each of these NGBs.”
